PM Narendra Modi Condolences on Death of Queen Elizabeth II

Britain's longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, died at 96 on Thursday. Leaders from across the world, including PM Narendra Modi and other Indian Leaders, shared their condolences on the occasion.

Queen Elizabeth II passed away today at the age of 96. Her health was bad since this morning and the whole team of doctors was treating her continuously. PM Modi expressed grief by tweeting on the Queen's death. PM Modi said Queen Elizabeth will be remembered for her greatness.

After Buckingham Palace announced the death of Britain's longest-serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday condoled the death of Queen Elizabeth II as he hailed her "inspiring leadership".

Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister recalled his memorable meetings with the Queen during his UK visits in 2015 and 2018. "I will never forget her warmth and kindness. During one of the meetings, she showed me the handkerchief Mahatma Gandhi gifted her on her wedding. I will always cherish that gesture," PM Modi tweeted.

 

Condolences poured in from the political fraternity after Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-serving monarch of the UK, died on Thursday (September 8, 2022) at 96. The Royal Family, in a statement, said, "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow."
